As a senior sales person, you will join the STIR Team and focus on the Commercial Paper Value chain. You will manage a group of FI clients, offering them investment and hedging products. Building strong relationships and exploring cross-sell opportunities with other departments is key. You will work closely with traders and align with the Treasury department. You and your job

As a senior sales person you will be working in the STIR Team and specifically be part of the extremely successful Commercial Paper Value chain. You will be a client owner for a group of FI clients. You will offer them investment and hedging products like Commercial Paper, Deposits, Bonds, Repo, Fx and Interest Rate Derivatives. You have a thorough understanding of these products and your clients’ needs. You will explore cross sell opportunities together with other departments and develop and build strong relationships with existing and potential clients.

You will have regular client visits and client calls. You will be working closely with the traders and make sure axes are timely communicated with your clients.

You will be in close contact with our Treasury department on their funding needs and align that with our client activity. You will be a mentor/coach for junior staff.

Markets is a client centred organisation which is the centre of competence for financial markets products and the point of access to the financial markets for Rabobank’s clients, and the whole of the Rabobank Group and its entities. Markets provides clients with four services areas: the management of risk, capital raising, investment products and research. Markets does this through co-operation with colleagues in other areas of Rabobank and through an intimate knowledge of our clients and their needs. Markets acquires risk from them as a principle, warehouses it, transforms it and lays it off in the financial markets – risk-on / risk-off. Markets focuses on turning over risk positions quickly thus achieving a high velocity of capital and greater returns.

FI Sales Trading Short Term Interest Rates (STIR) is Rabobank’s Centre of Competence for short term (cross-currency) interest rate trading. Its product range includes amongst others: Short Term Interest Rate Swaps, FRA’s, Futures, FX Swaps and Short Term Debt instruments. In essence, STIR plays the role of internal market-maker (pricing and execution) for these products towards internal users and external clients.

The 27 people in FI Sales Trading are together responsible for all short term interest rate, fx swap risk and risk from commercial paper. The colleagues in the team are located in Utrecht, London, Hong Kong and New York. Among these colleagues we have traders and client facing staff. With common goals we are very successful in executing deals for our clients.

You and your talent

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience (must)
  • Customer Focus
  • In depth knowledge of Financial Institution customer base
  • Excellent proficiency in English and ideally French, German and/or Dutch
  • Stay calm in stressful situations
